Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information LegalLync collects, how it's used, and the choices you have — for illustrative purposes as part of this product concept.
1. Information We Collect
When you create a LegalLync account, we collect information such as your name, email address, firm name, and billing details. As you use the platform, we also store the client, case, and document data you and your team enter, so we can provide the service.
- Account information (name, email, firm details)
- Case, client, and billing data you input
- Usage data (pages visited, features used, device type)
- Support communications
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to operate and improve LegalLync, provide customer support, send important account notifications, and — with your consent — share product updates.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell client or case data. Information may be shared with trusted subprocessors strictly to operate the service (e.g., cloud hosting, encrypted backups), each bound by confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
4. Security
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using 256-bit encryption. Access is governed by role-based permissions, and every view, edit, and export is recorded in an audit log.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and case data for as long as your account is active. Upon account closure, data is retained for 30 days to allow for export, then permanently deleted from production systems.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Firm administrators can manage most of these directly from Firm Settings.
